The 4750 head is a direct replacement for U47 / U48 microphones. It features the spherical ball as found on the legendary M50 microphone. The sphere adds directional characteristics in the higher regions and is what makes the M50 such an excellent mic for Decca Tree setups etc.
Here's your chance to turn your existing U47/48 into an M50 pattern mic.
FLEA 4750 - replaceable head for FLEA 47 or Neumann U47 microphones. The basket of 47 is equipped with 38mm acrylic ball with 1/2 inch gold sputtered capsule. Similar sound characteristics to the M50. Peak to +6dB on 15kHz. Sounds similar to M50. Turn your u47 to great weapon for ambient recording from classical to rock. As a pair itīs great for AB stereo recording e.g. of symphonic orchestra ... Simply unscrew three screws on your U47 basket, remove your U47 head and fit with 4750. The head is stored in wooden box.
